Does it cost anything to post a project on Banao?
No. Posting a project, getting matched with verified professionals and comparing their bids is free. You pay for specific services you choose, like a bid document or a consultancy plan, and your exact price is shown before you pay.
How do I find out what my project will cost?
Use the calculator on this page. Enter your covered area (and a solar system size if you are going solar) and it shows your exact totals for the bid document, the BOQ and every consultancy plan, so you know before you start. The amount you are charged is the amount shown.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer to Banao’s account. Upload the transfer screenshot in your support chat and your agent confirms it, usually within one working day.
Do clients get a BOQ?
Yes. The contractor bid document your agent prepares is a bill of quantities for your drawings, priced on your covered area. You approve it before contractors bid on it. Contractors can also order a BOQ for any project.
How much does a consultancy plan cost?
It depends on your covered area and the plan. Enter your area when you start a consultancy and every plan shows your total: a one-time fee for the whole project, split across your build’s phases and paid before each phase starts.
Do professionals pay to bid?
No. Architects and contractors buy a project’s bid document once to download it, at the price its Banao agent sets; submitting a bid is free. It keeps bids serious, so clients get fewer, better proposals.
Does Banao take a commission?
Yes, and only on work that is awarded: a share is added to what the client pays into escrow, and a share is deducted from the architect’s or contractor’s payouts. It varies with the project, so any figure before award is an estimate. You see the exact amount before you pay.
Does Banao earn anything from the contractors and architects I choose?
